The Family Finances. Why do we need money?

Do we "need" it or "want" it. DOES affluence buy happiness? What about taxes?

Let's take a common sense approach to money and its importance to our overall happiness. It seems very clear that provided all else is well with us, a large bank account certainly can make life easier. A very large one could make life well----darned EASY.

So why don't they teach us about planning our finances in schools? At least they never did while I was there. My experience has been from the school of hard knocks. I was brought up in a VERY modest household. My parents had only basic education, limited earning capacity and little knowledge of investing what they did earn. End result? A ton of stress, finally a broken home and much more difficult lives for us kids. And that's exactly where we should begin to try to help. With the kids. Are we doing a decent job these days teaching our kids about money? Just in case we aren't...I want to offer all of you a GREAT money crash course before your money cart crashes!

YES—it is very, very important to completely satisfy your family's money needs. It has become a society of capitalism. It is getting more so around the world every day. ( Have you been paying attention to Afghanistan and Iraq? Democracy? Capitalism? GLOBAL Economy! Think the US-the "richest" nation on Earth has money needs? How about other countries? Do world governments handle THEIR money needs and financial affairs as well as you do? Maybe..not!

The global trade economy is a macrocosm of finance. But isn't your little home also a Micro financial model? Isn't the future welfare of your family extremely dependent upon the financial and money decisions you make NOW? Of course!
